Public Sector Products
LexisNexis Visualfiles has been developing case management applications for more than 20 years. While initially specialising in ‘right to buy’ conveyancing applications for local authorities, this scope has widened considerably to include tree preservation, litigation support, environmental planning and complaints management. Customers also include many central government departments and government sponsored organisations.
The list of users continues to expand as organisations increasingly seek to improve the efficiency and quality of their internal and external services. The LexisNexis Visualfiles Public Sector User Group has proved an excellent forum for organisations to share ideas and improve their use of LexisNexis Visualfiles technology in addition to providing LexisNexis Visualfiles with invaluable guidance towards future product design. LexisNexis Visualfiles currently has two solutions designed for the public sector:
Case Management for Government – The
ultimate case management solution designed to manage high volumes of
cases effectively.
The unique flexibility of
Visualfiles makes it possible to develop highly customised solutions
far more quickly and cheaply than through normal bespoke development
methods. The browser and web service capability enables these applications
to form part of e-GIF solutions. (Download

Matter Management: Visualfiles M2 for Government – Designed
to support case workers managing smaller but more complex case loads.
M2 allows the automation
of many of the standard business and administration tasks enabling the
case worker to concentrate on applying their expertise to the complex
parts of the job in hand. Sophisticated time capture and billing tools
make the provision of internal billing reports simple. Visualfiles M2

Some comments from pubic sector clients: -
“During the year we also specified, procured, developed and successfully implemented a new case management system. The system was developed to reflect our new complaints handling approach. It will enable us to report on casework trends and provide high quality management information to help in managing our workload and reporting accurately on our performance. The system was delivered on time and under budget and has been well received by staff.”
Ann Abraham, Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

“We selected Visualfiles following an exhaustive and thorough evaluation process. It met and indeed in many cases exceeded our current requirements. Crucially, the system has the flexibility to ensure that we can quickly adapt to the Office’s evolving requirements. With a proven track record in the technology field and the financial stability that we were looking for, Visualfiles was simply the best solution for us.”
Simon Entwisle, Project Manager at the
Parliamentary Commission for
Health Service & Ombudsman
"From day one, I derived a great deal of comfort and confidence from the
team assigned to our implementation – it was obvious that each
member of the team who attended the first Project meeting had a clear
purpose and an important role to play. Visualfiles have a tried and tested
way of operation and the team guided us through the process, asking the
right questions and providing constructive advice. The installation and
transfer of data went smoothly, with Visualfiles offering on-site support
on go live day - they even had a contingency plan in place just in case
but luckily it was not needed."
John Enticott, Legal Services Practice Manager at
Westminster City Council
"One of the biggest benefits to date has been the increase in productivity due to the fact that many of the manual processes have been automated and staff can access information quickly and more efficiently, leaving them with more time to concentrate on casework."
Jill Wigney, Development Manager, Solicitor's Office at the Inland Revenue
